Kate Bouffard

Hi I’m Kate! I am so excited to be running for VP Communications for Science Society for the 2026–2027 year! Science Society has been pivotal as part of my university experience, and I would be honored to continue contributing to this new role.

I first joined SciSoc in my first and second years as a General Science Representative. In this role I had the opportunity to connect with students across different disciplines and help amplify their voices. Now in my third year, I stepped into the role of Communications (TikTok) Coordinator, where I focused on expanding our online presence, creating engaging and fun content, and finding new ways to connect with students. Through this role, I learned how powerful communication can be in building community, increasing event engagement, and making sure students feel informed and excited.

Now, heading into my fourth year, I am eager to take on the responsibility of VP Communications. I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition as I plan to continually grow our social media and outreach efforts. My goal is to make SciSoc’s messaging clear, creative, and representative of the dynamic science community we have on campus.
